Timed Digital Delays  Reply with quote

Ah, the luxuries of modern recording.

You know that nice kind of sound when you get your digital delay timed just right with the tempo of the song? It can be done in different ways, I'm partial to a nice tripletly kind of delay, I'm sure you've heard this before. In the old days, I'd be trying to make the most subtle little adjustments in the delay speed of my analog delay, barely nudging the knob to get it right. But with the integrated digital effects in my recording software, it automatically syncs the delay length with the tempo. Instead of setting a delay length you set a delay rhythm, for example half or quarter notes, or triplet based rhythms, just like I like...

Sounds sweet. I've never been able to achieve this kind of delay. It would be nice to have an effect that does this.
