| Bass: Fingers or Pick? |

For those that specialize or just dabble in the art of bass, do you prefer the nice round tones available from using your fingers, or do you go for the solid attack of the plectrum against those strings?
After quickly jumping to bass duties after having played guitar for years, I used a pick simply because I couldn't play as fast or precise with my fingers. Now that I've played bass for many years I tend to prefer fingers for the tone, especially on slower prettier parts, but I might still need a pick for hard rockin'.

I prefer fingers because it's easier for me to play and I think it sounds better. I will use a pick when I'm looking for some snap. |
